If you have been reading here for very long you may have noticed a few things about me; I love Pierce Brosnan, my children make me look bad, the way to my heart is through Roberto's and the beach, and I haven't been real heavy on the giveaway front. But it's December, and you're not done shopping yet (Or are you? And if so, did you remember to buy me some tact and an extra memory card for my menopausal brain? WELL THEN GET BACK OUT THERE MISSY.) (Memory Cards for our brains!! Somebody needs to invent that, make it into an app and then remind me to download it.) And since you're probably not done shopping I'm just trying to help you out. (By the way, I haven't forgotten about announcing last week's giveaway winner it's just that I said you had until midnight, and I also said I would let Drew pick the name, and I didn't necessarily think that through because at midnight we were both asleep and this morning he was in a hurry to get to school and blah blah I promise to post it later!) (Blah.)
So.
Today's giveaway comes to you from my friend Jill who eats cotton candy for breakfast, turned down an offer to slay her neighbor's 50 lb turkey for Thanksgiving (she's still new to Montana), and also manages to strengthen families worldwide through her business, Hatch Patch Creations, maker of family home evening packets. You may recall some of my botched experiences with family home evening (like when Drew thought Samantha was Jesus, or when our deep discussion turned to talk of boogers) so this is the kind of product that was intended for people like me.
Sometimes Jill uses people she knows as inspiration which is why our friend Lorie gets mentioned in her "It's Nifty To Be Thrifty" packet, because Lorie is so cheap the Goodwill calls to ask her how she does it. (But she and her husband got through med school with four children and NO DEBT, so you should call her. Except be prepared to send your kid outside to pee so you don't have to pay for the water to flush the toilet.) I hesitate to probe whether I have inspired any such lessons, but I have to say that "Harry The Unhealthy Hippo" strikes me as suspicious. (Besides, HOLY HYPOCRITE BAT MAN, how many pieces of cake did Jill have on her birthday? Answer: No sense in bothering with "pieces" when you can just eat THE WHOLE CAKE.) THE POINT IS, these packets are handy whether you're trying to gather your family around for a teaching moment or need something quick for a preschool or Sunday School lesson, and all you have to do is click your mouse a few times to download it. And...Hatch Patch Creations is giving away a $50 gift certificate to do just that. That will go a long way folks, especially since each packet contains the lesson, illustrations, a scriptural theme, a recipe, and a game or activity idea. In addition, (20% more free!) Hatch Patch is offering a two week promotion where you can buy the "Mary & Joseph" kit and get the "Samuel The Lamanite" kit for free. Simply enter "DECEMBER 12" as the promo code at checkout (picture and info below).
So, you know the drill - you get one entry for a comment HERE and another entry for a comment on "Hatch Patch Creations FHE Kits" on facebook, which you can get to by clicking here. You have until Friday at 7:34 pm. (BECAUSE I CAN.) (And I should still be up.)

I love Hatch Patch Creations! My kids love when we get the packets out for FHE! I love that they have the scripture and treat idea and the games and stories are always great too! Teona Humphires- all4memories@gmail.com
I Love Hatch Patch Creation! The lessons and activities are geared toward my little ones and so easy to do, since everything is right there.

i love hatch patch FHE packets! fudash21@yahoo.com
We started buying FHE packets from Hatch Patch Creations in 2007. I loved them. I became a mom of triplets in 2005 and already had a 3 year old. As you can imagine I had no extra time in my life. This made the once impossible FHE at our house not only possible but fun and not so stressful for me because I didn't have to worry about what to do. We still use them all the time. So glad we found Hatch Patch Creations. They have been a real lifesaver at our house. Natalie Jacobs nanijacobs@yahoo.com
Wait! You mean that our children are actually supposed to learn something for FHE? Who knew?
I recently found Hatch Patch Creations and I'm in L.O.V.E.!! I would love to win, and they are AWESOME!! Thanks for the Giveaway!

Hatch Patch is the best! Love them! I think I am going to try to start another group at the beginning of the year! Julie C. - jmc2go@gmail.com
Hatch Patch makes great FHE packets and I love their prices too. I would love to win!! gijen2500@gmail.com
I love Hatch Patch! A friend introduced me to them a while back, they are great to turn to for FHE and homeschool lessons.
Side Note: HOW I wish I had learned frugality like your friend Lorie when my hubster was in med school!! What a role model she is. We came out with 4 kids as well and his student loans (med & undergraduate school) are kicking our financial butts! {{We owe several hundred dollars more in student loans than our monthly house payment}} Dave Ramsey here we come! And with 4 boys her whole peeing outside idea sounds divine actually. Not to save tp but my offending nose and bathroom from their bad aims.
Our family absolutely loves Hatch Patch Creations! Every Monday the kids pick which one we do! We like the different games and having the new treats!

I would love to win. Maybe I would be better at having FHE.

Ok you are hilarious!
I will have to check out Hatch Patch Creations as soon as I'm done wiping the spit from my laptop.
I love Hatch Patch creations! It is one of the few things my kids will sit down and listen to and they are older ones.
I love "Hash Patch Creations". It is our family favorite. Since we are luky to have an "in" with the owner of this "cute little home-based business", our FHE's are filled with joy, happiness, and learning. Go Hash Patch!! We love you! It is Nifty to be Thrifty!!!
Love Hatch Patch! So glad Jill introduced me to your blog! Super fun!
Well I don't send my boys out to pee to save water but if both bathrooms are occupied.... well, let's just say we have no spiderwebs in a certain place along the foundation.
These are my favorite FHE packets and lessons!! So easy to use.
would love this!!!
Wow! I had never heard of these! They look like so much fun and with four young kids I always need new ideas!

What?! Jill R. is the Jill you went to visit in Montana? I KNEW she looked familiar! Check it... about 10 years ago I was Jill's visiting teacher in UTAH! Wow. You always hear how it's such a small world in the church. Seems it's small in blogland too.
Anyway... all the FHE lessons I have are thanks to Hatch Patch. I was thinking about her a few weeks ago, and wondered if she was still doing this. We really need to rev up our curriculum because the 5 or 6 times a year we have a successful FHE is entirely thanks to Hatch Patch Creations. I'd love to win, but even if I don't I'll be heading over to the site fo' sho'. I like to let others do the "heavy lifting" when it comes to my families' spirituality. :D
Pick me!
Our FHE doesn't seem to ever happen without AT LEAST one person in tears, someone throwing up/peeing or pooping their pants/farting/burping, incessant teasing, and mom [finally] yelling, "EVERYONE KNOCK IT OFF - WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE A NICE, LOVING FAMILY!!!" :)
I haven't been using Hatch Patch - apparently, that's my problem!
I've had my Hatch Patch FHE for a long time. Back in the day, we would color them ourselves. I love the colored FHE now!!! mw4400@yahoo.com
That would help so much! It's hard to think of toddler friendly FHE activities.

I love FHE kits. I want to do FHE, but I don't want to prepare it. Perfect.
