Dude, I'm stoked

Have you noticed that "Dude" has made a comeback? Good news for me, since I never really moved on from it. Although I'm pretty sure "stoked" is still mostly reserved for stoners.

But Dude! The reason I am stoked (stoner or not, it's effective) is because we bought a house today! We tried to put a contract on it Saturday but ran into a few problems, namely that somebody else beat us to it. We are lucky, and he backed out. It is going to be awesome.

Right?

Can I just say I love reading your blog entries? That's hilarious about the fund raising night. I would love to have seen that. Congrats with a new house!! You will have to send me your new address. Are you still close to your other house?

Dude, that's so cool, man! I'm Stoked for you. I mean that is totally RADICATED. You must post pictures. How cool you found it so fast! Did you ever use the word "whooped" meaning "in love with someone"? I tried using it the other day and my 24-year-old brother just laughed... hmmm, I'm thinking I might try to bring it back. Anyway, CONGRATS!!! HOW HAPPY!

So awesome! Can you put up pictures or something? Or maybe e-mail them out to the family. Also, are you staying in Aurora?

sorry about the serious picture deficiency lately - my main computer crashed and I haven't been able to configure my new laptop to do what the last one did. I'll try to fix that. IN ALL OF MY SPARE TIME.

Bol

I just barely made it to your now 'old' house. I am not, I repeat, not coming to see this house until your kids have seen mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vern -

Can you post the link to the virtual tour on the MLS website? I think that would scratch the pictures/address itch and save you some time.

Dude! At least you're closer to See's now, right?
Because moving farther away from See's would be completely Out Of The Question.

As the Fonz would say Eyy! I don't know if that is anywhere in the vacinity of dude or stoked but it works. Congratulations.

WAAAAAAAAHHH!
I mean, uh, congratulations. Is your new, lovely home by any chance in my neighborhood?
Right. Thought so.
WAAAAAAAAHHHH!

pauly: good idea, but it's not finished being built so there's no MLS listing. It was a builder spec home. Translation: we will be living in an apartment for about 6 weeks, which I hear is really effective for family bonding.

After moving from a house to an apartment for a year and a half. I am not so sure about the family bonding thing. I think it is more of family cramming!

Dude, that's like totally awesome. Totally to the max.

While volunteering in my son's second grade class, I was thrown off by a conversation which included no less than 6 "dudes". Keeping in mind this conversation lasted approximately 30 seconds. So, being the mom I am, I gave them a bunch of trouble. Now, every time they see me the have to throw in a "Dude!". You know it's bad when second graders can one-up you.
